Learn the easy, effective, respectful and safe way to start or re-educate a horse with the versatile and integrative, Tellington TTouch Method. Regardless of your prior horse training experience, this workshop will provide you with the skills to quietly, respectfully, and safely, prepare a horse for work under saddle or help overcome issues with previously trained horses.
Use one of the farm’s un-started youngsters and/or your own horse to learn the foundations of the Tellington TTouch Method. You will put these skills into practice as you use the four pillars of the method; observation/attitude, bodywork, groundwork, and tools under saddle. TTouch Bodywork to help build trust and release tension; TTouch Ground Exercise, including ground driving, improves balance, coordination, and responsiveness; the Playground of Higher Learning to teaches horses how to act rather than react; and the Joy of Riding tools will help make the transition to work under saddle easy and fun!
These steps prepare the horses for their first time under saddle or provides a previously started horse with a new, positive outlook on working with people. Counts towards Tellington TTouch Practitioner status. Lunch and snacks included in price.
